Socialization Enrichment & Educational Development for Young Adults - SYA
The Socialization enrichment and educational development program for Young Adults (SYA) provides a safe, comfortable, stimulating environment where adults ages 18-22 with intellectual/developmental disabilities can learn socialization skills to help with daily living. The primary goal of the program is to encourage young adults to reach their potential in socialization skills. Educational skills are enhanced through a wide variety of environmental experiences such as movies, bowling, physical fitness, and volunteering in the community.

Training and Participation for Social Skill Building - TAPSS
Training and Participation for Social Skill Building (TAPSS) is a California state licensed year-round day care/skill-building program that focuses on the development of approriate social skills through program and community base activities.
The TAPSS program serves children ages
5-17 with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who are clients of the Kern Regional Center. The program provides safe environments for the children to practice appropriate classroom activities, role modeling and interactive technology such as iPads and Smartboards.
